Alright, I couldn't find the other guy's thread on Scavenger but here is my thought on it. Scavenger is my number one perk for my sub-machine gun. The real question is why hasn't IW or Treyarch figured a way to use Scavenger to pick up items that the opponent specifically has? For example. I have C4. With scavenger pro I run across a body that has C4, I pick it up (that's if they haven't used it), along with Semtexes (if I have semtex as my lethal), etc., and so forth. Basically, you grab what your class needs based on what the opponent has on them. So if they didn't use any of their grenades, you can pick it up, if they did use all of them, you get nada. Obviously weapons need to stay the same 'cause the chances of you finding the same gun is slimmer.

    I like explosives, but this could increase the spam imo.

      Exactly, why not use frag and flash al the time then?!?!

        Well, you wouldn't be able to pick up more than normal! Come on now. Haha. You'd still be limited by the constraints that we already have. But it sucks using scavenger and only being able to replenish bullets and throwing knives (for some odd reason you can do that unlimitedly in case anyone didn't know O_O ))

    It would just end up with more camping used scav alot in MW2, 30 kills in flavela  free for all claymores only used to be a hardcore camper

    It was a nightmare in mw2. a camper with 3 claymores

    The real question is what are people doing dying with these lethal grenades still in stock?

    Why not just give everyone a start of two C4 and two claymore, scavanger only refills stuns and granades.

    i dont think thats the way forward i think it should give and extra frag,c4 semtex etc and an extra tactical grenade and not be replenished, if u got them all the time would only take a few idiots to boost in a corner and someone to get an assist moab.

      True give them like 3 stuns 2 frags etc. I think they should take out MOABS it only influences campers. I wish that they could just leave 2 clays in the game and dumb down the blast of them a bit.

        yes and no with the moabs, ive got 20 odd now, i think i camped for 1 of them but the same idiots kept coming the same way each time made sense to wait for him onn domination but i was doing the objective got like 30 defends was great, most of my moabs come from defending and doing the objective

          See i understand if you can actually play and get them. My problem is with the kids that don't play lets say domo, and they are not near the objective at all just camping trying to get it. That's when it gets dumb.

           

          I wish MW3 would have used what BO had with the ADS on an objective and the objective would disapear. I have no idea why a IW says they will not copy TA, it's like you are making the same games. When something is an improvment dont throw it away because you didn't think of it first expand on it. I hate it because its basically one step forward 3 steps back, just combime it and make the game better.

    I am assuming that the reason we don't get more than 1 lethal grenade/ordinance is to prevent spamming, but IMO, having only 1 is nuts.

    They nerfed Scavenger to avoid people abusing Hardline Pro with Scavenger to get killstreaks. What the OP is suggesting sounds great but Hardline Pro would still abused (to a lesser extent) by players continuously flashing or stunning the enemies while their teammates pick up the kill as they get closer and closer to their next killstreak through assists

     

    Imagine someone using Specialist with Scavenger, Hardling and Any Green Perk. Their Specialist is Recon, Assassin and Blind Eye. As soon as they earn Recon, they're just spamming Tac Nades as much as they can. As long as they're running a silencer on their gun it would be so easy to get a MOAB.

     

    This game has 6 more months of life in it. I doubt they're going to tweak anything other than matchmaking/lag (if that) and release DLC at this point.

     

    Just find a way to play that is fun for you and don't bother thinking about ways to make the game design better. This game has been shipped and all we can look forward to are new maps and some Spec Ops.

         A little off topic, but I have wondered something about picking up weapons without scavenger.

     

         I was trying to complete challenges with underbarrel launcher, so the first thing I would use when I'd spawn would be my gl.

         Well, next thing you know I was killed by a guy using what sure looked like my weapon firing a grenade. ( it was a red camo cm901 with a gl ...... how many of these would I run across?)  Why when i used all my nades every time should the guy get a refill when he picks it up.

         I believe I have picked up weapons before that were low on ammo. Is it different between the weapon and the attachment?

    They did figure a way to do that. It's called Scavenger Pro on MW2. The problem was the year-long tube fest that ensued as a result of it, so they fixed it for MW3.
